Ingredients 3.5oz butter – at room temperature 5oz caster sugar 2 x medium eggs 7oz plain flour 2.5oz walnuts – chopped Pinch salt ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda (store cupboard ingredient) 7oz mincemeat Method Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 and line 2 baking sheets with grease proof paper. Cream the butter, sugar and eggs together in a large bowl. Add the flour, walnuts, salt and bicarb, mix well. Then stir in the mincemeat. Put small dessert spoons of the mixture onto baking sheets, using the back of a fork to press the mixture down a little. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and crisp. Source: Chivers
