Bean and cheese pastry pockets

Golden puff pastry filled with Heinz baked beans and gooey cheese – a quick, tasty snack or lunch

Craving something warm, cheesy, and comforting? These Heinz Bean & Cheese Pastry Pockets are the ultimate quick treat! Flaky golden pastry wraps around rich baked beans and gooey melted cheese for a snack or lunch that’s full of flavor and ready in minutes. Perfect for busy days or when you need a little indulgence without the fuss.

Ingredients:

1 tin

Heinz baked Beanz

60 g

Cheddar cheese finely grated

Sheet ready rolled puff pastry cut into 8 squares

Egg beaten

3 cups

Mixed cabbage

1 tbsp

Heinz seriously good light mayonnaise

Juice of 1 lemon

Grated carrot

Method:

Step 1

Heat the oven to 180 degrees fan.

Step 2

In a pot on the hob heat through the Heanz Baked Beanz and cheddar cheese.

Step 3

Place a spoonful of the cheesy baked beanz mixture in the middle of each square of puff pastry and then fold to make a triangular pocket. Use a form to seal the layers of pastry together.

Step 4

Brush the tops of the pockets with a little beaten egg.

Step 5

Bake in the oven until puffed and golden.

Step 6

To make the side salad mix the cabbage mayo lemon and carrot together in a bowl.
