Very Fresh and Very Delicious

This makers of this bread advertise that it has no preservatives in it, so they recommend eating it soon after purchase (or soon after it arrives). I found that it freezes well. You could freeze the slices individually, if need be, or else refrigerate the bread. It smells wonderfully, has a very nice, somewhat dense consistency, with a pleasing taste of whole wheat and a pleasing, mild taste of baking soda. If you like soda bread, you won't be disappointed in this--just don't leave it out on the counter.

YES! This arrives fresh. I don't know how it's done, but this is delicious. I have tried many recipes to duplicate this in my kitchen, but this is the first "real" soda bread I've had outside of Ireland. These are small loaves, so buy accordingly. With Kerrygold butter and Irish salmon this is my "comfort food"!
