Irish Cole Slaw - It's Better
02/23/7 at 13:32:24

When my friend and I traveled to Ireland, I fell in love with the Cole Slaw - it's different from the slaw I've had in the US (which I can't stand).  Does anyone know what the difference is and how I could go about making some at home?
Thanks!!

Shred some white cabbage, some carrott and a little onion add mayo to taste (sometimes you could water down the mayo a little if it's over powering).  Enjoy

I think it's the mayo. Here in the US it is sweeter and stickier (none of us will touch it!) but at home it is a lot more like homemade. Try making your own and see if that helps.

As far as I know, there is no sugar added to the Irish version. Just mayo, salt & vinegar.
