| | | | The Campbell’s blend is a traditional favourite, originally made in Dublin by J. & G. Campbell Ltd which was established in 1797. This is a robust blend of full flavoured loose East African teas that deliver a satisfying cup of tea. Savour the strength of Campbell’s Perfect Tea – a traditional tea blended according to an age-old recipe. It is packed in the famous Campbell’s tin to retain its original freshness - an essential characteristic of a good tea. Campbell’s is just the thing for those who like their tea strong and flavoursome. |

Learned of this tea from A. Gold, a London deli and retailer, and had my first tin brought back from Dublin. This tea has replaced PG for my daily tea. The flavor is deep and rich, somewhat malty, but never bitter. Highly recommended

It's no wonder this tea has received so many raves from professional cooks and tea fanciers! It delivers a consistently hearty, malty, blend with unusual depth of color and flavor.
I also use Barry's Gold tea in bags when hurried, but for a leisurely teatime, I love to brew up an old fashioned pot and only loose tea will do.
Now I prefer a very strong brew - coffee-level intensity, and 'a wonder it doesn't crack the cup', as they say. For me, even Campbell's must be measured traditionally; a teaspoonful/dessert-spoon full per cup, and a wee bit over for the pot. Just adding this as tastes differ and if your mileage varies, you will not be disappointed....try adjusting to enjoy that full-bodied Campbell's tea experience. Delicious!

I first encountered Campbell's Tea around five years ago and haven't looked back, in spite of my fondness for Barry's. While I still enjoy Barry's in its various varieties, Campbell's is my "Go-To" tea.
When I read the note on the tin suggesting you use half as much tea as you normally would, I scoffed and brewed as I normally would: two in the pot (one for me plus another for the pot), water just off the boil, stir well, steep (5 full minutes), and serve (into a large mug with a splash of milk already in). And hung on 'cause it was at LEAST twice as strong as I had expected. I had just finished a pot of Barry's so my palette was acclimated and had something immediate with which to compare.
So, I stocked up and for the past five years I've been brewing at least one pot after my morning coffee (I live so near Seattle that we would be a suburb except for Puget Sound).
